Perfectly manicured lawns that fill the spaces between the houses and the roads, cars that are washed so many times the paint has turned into a reflector for the autumn sun.

The Seething Wells suburban environment seems like many others in the way it sells itself to professionals wanting to start his or her family, away from the busy city. This dream of a best of both world scenario has many people working towards the idyllic white picket fence scenario.

This typology is becoming evermore unobtainable.

The housing proposal invites a large range of inhabitants at different stages in their lives to come together and live in a single community.

Houses range from 1-4 bedroom all interwoven within a single plot. Besides the sizes of the houses this residential scheme does not create a hierarchy.

Each house has its own private garden and easy access to the road like any other house in the suburbs. The development will allow families to interact through the transparency of the scheme as well as through a large, shared communally outdoor area which can be used for social events.
